Fresh Made Pesto from Today's Garden Picked Basil. |
This is less than half of Diane's garden starts of Tomatoes and Basil. |
Dave's Pesto:
large handful of fresh basil rinsed and leaves removed from the large stems
3 cloves fresh garlic
juice of 1/2 lemon
handful of walnuts
2 glug, glugs extra virgin olive oil
1/2-3/4 C. Parmesan cheese or Italian cheese blend
pinch of kosher salt
pinch of black pepper
Place all of these ingredients into food processor and whirl until a loose paste like consistency is achieved. May store in the refrigerator for a couple of days or freeze until ready for use.
